Lets make a mess!
Mess came about from my love of planning my own children’s parties, my obsession with colour, my love for kids, and, of course, my love of messy play and painting. So, combining all of those things and essentially throwing a mini party twice a week!
What started as a love for creating has grown into weekly toddler messy play sessions and some seriously epic events. And because I live and breathe messy play, I know exactly what kids put their clothes through.
Our Mess Art & Food Smocks are designed for real-life mess, from painting and sensory play to water play, baking and mealtimes. Made from durable, high quality, waterproof material, they provide full coverage with their long sleeves and a full back, helping keep little clothes protected while they get stuck into the fun.
The elasticated neckline makes them quick and easy to pull on and off. And when the mess is done? Simply wipe them clean or pop them in the washing machine.

What age is Messy Play best suited for?
Our sessions are best suited to children aged 1–5 years, however, younger babies can absolutely join in too!
Messy play offers something different at every age. Babies can explore new textures and sensations, toddlers can develop their curiosity and independence, while older children can experiment, create and problem-solve. There really is no “perfect” age for messy play. Every child benefits in their own way!
What sizes do your Art Smocks come in?
Our Art Smocks come in three sizes:
- XS: 6–12 months
- S: 1–3 years
- L: 3–5 years
How do I clean the Art Smocks?
Every art smock is waterproof and wipe-clean, making everyday messes easy to clean up. For heavier messes, simply rinse under warm water and hang to dry. If needed, they can also be machine washed on a cool cycle. Do not tumble dry, as the heat can affect the waterproof coating.
Are your Tuff Trays safe for outdoor play?
Yes, they're built for both indoor and outdoor sensory play. We recommend storing them indoors when not in use to prevent the metal stand from rusting in the weather.
